Nigerian Problem is too basic to solve

At last the National Assembly seems to notice that Nigerian society is in trouble.  Indeed, the society has a serious public safety problem.  I understand the Waziri, the Attorney General, the Police Chief, and NSS men were all in for some talks.  What a moment to showcase bogus.  Fact: 99.9 percent of Nigerian heads of agencies are dishonest, unpatriotic, and violative of the rule of law.  The necessary agencies in most nation states are available in Nigeria.  It is the head of each agency, ministry that sets an example or roadmap for efficient and ethical rendition of service to the nation.  That is not the case in Nigeria.  Everyone is looking to exploit the nation; steal its resources, steal his/her way to wealth; and deliberately heap wrath of destruction, personal crises, and conflicts upon the heads of
his/her children for three generations.  This may not mean a thing to those Nigerians who bask in dishonesty.  But the fact remains, a nation like Nigeria should never experience poverty when it has received more than $400 billion dollars since oil revenue started to pour in.  It has not one motor able road system, no electricity, no decent school structure, not one prideful national university, not one building without engineering, or obvious structural stress left and right. Litany of woes won't help.  Now I know why, about 8 hours ago, a brilliant Nigerian design architect and builder was furious at me when I tried to relate a story I read online about Nigeria's economy.  The people are simply their worst enemies, and where that is the case, national problem rarely gets a solution. Will public official in Nigeria kindly consider the plights of the children? These are Nigerian kids; they deserve the best, after all their country has wealth.  The country curses could be reversed if the so-called public officials change their hearts for the sake of our kids.  They steal with ignominy and pride; they make every Nigerian become a target of suspicion.  If politicians and public officials of early era were all destroyed for their parts in corruption, what makes Nigerian politicians and public officials believe that God can spare them when his times comes.  Sadly, in Africa, if a thought has some theological elements, it means nothing.  But guess something, Nigerians and other African despicable, and corrupt public officials, have their work cut out for them.  Good Luck to them!

Unless God send us a new set of people to clear this mess we will remain in it until eternity, because OKA BI MO LE OBI ORO, IRU IRO NBORUN IRU BABA LOMO.

on jaw Youths Want Ribadu Investigated Over Alleged Oil Block

My reaction to the above headline is, "Of course, Government should investigate if any Oil Blocks were allocated to Nuhu Ribadu unlawfully". I can already guess what the outcome would be but let them satisfy themselves.

On the other hand, I wish to sound a note of warning to Mr D S P Alamieyesiegha, ' Nigerians in Diaspora are seriously pushing for his extradition to the UK to stand trial for money laundering and jumping bail'. And...guess what? I am one of the people meeting with MPs and MEPs to ensure that the request is forwarded to the Nigeria Authorities as soon as possible.

Let Alamieyesiegha not think that his troubles are over because Ribadu is no longer there. He should get ready for another battle.

Let anyone who knows Alami forward this to him as it is not a threat rather, it is a promise. He has not seen the last of Her Majesty's Prison.

Nigerians in Diaspora are now taking over where Ribadu left off. They should watch and see

I cannot, but agree with you more, we are too complacent a people to take our destiny in our hands. We need to rise up as a people and confront these hordes of demons called politicians and, put them where they rightly belong, under our feet. The Nigerian situation is a pathetic and sad one. Pathetic and sad because the mass of the people who are at the receiving end of the greed and corruption of the ruling class are just too docile to do anything about their poor state of affairs. Rather they have resigned themselves to fate, hoping that change will come, what a hopeless state of being. Change will not come unless we make the change, the change that we want to see. Life does not give you what you ask of it, it is only what you take out of it that you get. So arise o Nigerians and gird yourself for the war ahead, the war of change, for the wind is already blowing.

This is the moment to show that those of us in Diaspora can make positive Impact. I call upon all good people - Nigerians & non-Nigerians - to bring the plight of Nuhu Ribadu before their parliamentary representative, Secretary of State or Minister for Foreign or External Affairs. All it takes is e-mail, phone call or a visit to your MP's constituency office to express your views. Your vote means a lot to them. If you are not eligible to vote, still make that call or ask your friends to do so.

We have been blogging/commenting about Nuhu’s travails for long & I commend all for their courage & for being outspoken but it is now time for action.

Please, DO NOT lose courage or be self-defeatist now!

Stand up & be counted for the sake of a better Nigeria.

I, personally, will be contacting 3 MPs. Please, feel free to contact me by email EmekaAneke@msn.com

On What we need is an Obamalina

I am proud of our women, especially the woman in charge of National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC). If, I am out for politics I would loved to vice her to become Nigeria’s president. She will become the first woman president in Africa if she accepts to be. She will win election in any party of Nigeria. I wish our women the best of luck.

On EFCC

I am sick and tired of reading everyday of what is happening in my Country.
It is a shame, as the good lady of the EFCC said, that after all these years we have
practically nothing to show for all the huge revenue derived from the abundant resources
in the country.  It has been several years since anti-corruption organizations were set up
in the country to address the evil.  Nothing so far has happened; it seems nothing is going
to happen.  Nigerians in high places seem to be basking in corruption and therefore it will
take collective efforts to address corruption.  EFCC alone cannot do it.  By the way, what
is the national assembly still waiting to provide the EFCC more powers over the
"war against corruption?"

On Sani Ahmed Yerima

Taking into consideration all previous comments about Sani Ahmed Yerima's statement
on his ambition to "RULE" Nigeria, there is not much to say again about Yerima's
senseless statement except that it's in his best interest to seek urgent mental help.

Having worked in the UK National Health Service for many years and primarily with
patients who suffer from mental health problems, I strongly believe Yerima is suffering
from Personality Disorder and a form of Psychotic Disorder.
God knows that I am not being derogatory but trying to help a man, who by every
indication is in genuine need of psychiatric help. Having been an ex-Governor does
not exclude anyone from suffering from mental health problem. After all,
King Nebuchadnezzar was once a ruler and so also was King Henry viii.

On Panorama
I am impressed with your articles and wish to congratulate all of you. Please,
do keep it up. Nigeria today is in the hands of the enemy of Nigerians especially,
the senate and many governors. I would be pleased if you also reflect on the
way this government is trying to give all that Nigeria have to China.
I studied in Asia and I can assure you that Chinese are too poor and tyrannical
to develop anyone. An example is Sudan where they are in charge of oil. Today,
our leaders are asking China to build and run a refinery in Nigeria. Please to
contact others and inquire more about his ugly development. The last regime
also awarded China the contract to build Railway lines based on the money
Chinese borrowed Nigeria. Thanks for your good works. Yemi, you are wonderful,
you have impressed me so much.

On Shell leaving Ogoni Land

This will serve as lesson to those multinational companies who see Nigeria as
the cheapest place to illegally enrich themselves. It is a pity the type of
Leaders we have in Nigeria because they are like prodigal children but without
repentance. Now E.U & U.S is becoming too hot for them, they are now ‘shifting’
their stolen wealth to the Far East. Nigeria leaders will sometime tender Nigeria
not only for sale but for auction. I won’t be surprise to go on internet one day
and See that Nigeria has been auctioned by our leaders.

Please, I don’t want President Yar’Adua to quit the Seat. I am seeing him as the
Best President that is going to make Nigeria better. With President Yar’Adua,
I think things will be better for us because he is going to lead us to the Promised Land.

Manu Kumar Loganey, Hamburg, Germany.

Dear Sirs and Misters,
May I suggest to ‘socialise’ the state sector with its economical tools such as
the NIGERIAN NATIONAL PETROLEUM CORPORATION! We can see in Venezuela and Bolivia
that the state can be the owner of all high recommended sectors of one’s nation
to tribute the profit to all people! Such ideas are more relevant than the step
to Europe and its illogical accumulation system of profit by exploiting mother earth!
In solidarity to the people of Nigeria
